Schooling & the Marginalization of Students
EDU(ED)-Teaching & Learning - 18050000EDU - Education
Long Description (Course Description)
Examines the marginalization of vulnerable student populations, which results in high dropout rates and frequent placement of students in the school-to-prison pipeline. Building upon an examination of the connections between theory, practice, student experiences, and policy, this course will support a deep understanding of issues and potential solutions to alleviate the marginalization of children and develop ways to successfully engage all K-12 students.
