Long Description (Course Description)

This course builds on a working knowledge of the normal anatomy and physiology of the swallowing mechanisms for children and adults. It will cover impairments that can result from neurological, structural, and behavioral disorders. The course will focus on building the ability to interpret the results of screening and diagnostic (instrumental) evaluation of swallowing and to manage oropharyngeal swallowing disorders.
